2019 Spring FUN Hunter Pace
Please join us for a spring FUN hunter pace on May 18th @
Grovespring Farm (located just north of Culpeper).
ALL riders and disciplines are welcome. Please join us for a
great day of fun!

Date: Saturday, May 18, 2019
Time: Registration opens at 11:30am; first riders on course
at 12pm (all participants must be registered by 2pm).

The course is very inviting and will be approximately 4.5 miles long. All jumps are optional and can be ridden around. The course is well marked and you will not need to walk it.
Divisions: The following divisions will be offered:

Adult - Over Fences

Adult - On the Flat

Adult - Pleasure

Junior - Over Fences

Junior - On the Flat

Junior - Pleasure
The Over Fences and On the Flat divisions will be judged at an optimal hunt pace. The Pleasure division will be judged at a leisurely trail pace.
Ribbons will be awarded to 1st place prizes through 6th place for each division. Many prizes will be given out.
Entry Fees: $40 each adult; $25 each junior (under 16).
Attire: Safety helmets are required. Otherwise, whatever makes you comfortable.
Details: Entry forms must be submitted with fees, negative Coggins and waivers. You may download the entry form and waivers (see links above) or sign them when you register on the day of the ride.
A hunter pace is ridden on a marked cross country course designed to imitate the conditions and terrain found on a foxhunt. Riders go out in small groups of 2-4 people in a staggered start system between 12pm and 2pm. The pace is a timed event, but it is not a race. Winners in each division will be determined by which riders come closest to the secret optimum time.
Food and drinks will be available.
Dogs are NOT permitted.
