Point to Point Races

The Rappahannock Hunt Point to Point Races are your first chance to see horses compete in preparation for the annual Virginia Gold Cup. The first three races are the fan favorite, Pony Races where junior jockeys go head to head on their ponies. The remaining of the eight races consist of Hurdles, Timbers and Flat races.
There is no bad spot at the Rappahannock Hunt Races. The party is in the Paddock where spectators line the edge of the course to watch the race. However, the best view of the entire course is from the Hill Parking. You cannot go wrong with any spot you choose at the Rappahannock Hunt Races.
*New for 2026* We will be offering reserved parking spots on the Course! Click here to view the 2026 Course Map. Our food trucks this year will be El Jefe Street Eats and The BBQ Lab VA.
In addition to the races, food trucks are on site. Programs are sold for $5 each and 50/50 raffle tickets are available. Spectators are strongly encouraged to visit the Merch Den to shop the latest Rappahannock Hunt Merchandize. Please note that dogs are strictly prohibited.

For those who confirmed tailgate spaces for the February 28th date and cannot attend the new date, may be eligible to a refund if they notify rhraceparking@gmail.com by Monday, March 2nd.

General Admission Tickets are sold the day of the event only. No RSVP required but we do strongly encourage you to mark yourself as "Going" on our Facebook Event.
